PayRentByPhone for Tenants
PayRentByPhone is a point solution of VerticalCloud for Landlords offered as a standalone product for landlords and property managers. The functionality is also integrated within VerticalCloud for Landlords and VerticalCloud for Property Managers.

Here's how it works:
- An invoice is SMS texted to your tenants with amount due, due by date, and a toll free number to pay it at.
- Tenant dials 1-866-55-RENT-4 from their cell phone.
- PayRentByPhone prompts tenant for unique tenant identification code.
- Our system asks your tenant how they would like to pay rent. Press 1 to pay rent by eCheck, Press 2 to pay rent by Credit or Debit Card.
- Tenant chooses option 1 or 2 from their cell phone.
- If tenant chooses option 1, they are asked to provide their bank account and routing number at first time use.
- If tenant choose option 2, they are asked to provide their 16 digit credit or debit card, expiration date, and security code.
- PayRentByPhone confirms the rent amount due that month. Tenant confirms by pressing 1. The transaction is initiated and the funds hit your bank account in 2 to 4 business days.
- If the tenant does not confirm, you are notified with an SMS text message from PayRentByPhone.
- If a tenant does not pay rent on-time, you are notified with an SMS text message.
