Refund Policy
15 Day Free Trial Period
VerticalCloud Online Property Manager offers the public a free 15-day trial period. The trial period begins immediately upon sign-up. The free trial period only applies to new customers and does not apply to existing customers that upgrade their subscription plan. We will also not honor a free trial period for customers who were once paying subscribers, cancelled, and then decided to re-instate their subscription to VerticalCloud.
At any time during the 15-day free trial period, a potential subscriber (customer) can cancel their account and will not be billed. We do not ask for credit card information to sign up for the 15-day free trial period either. If you forget to cancel within the 15-day free trial period, your account WILL NOT BE CHARGED and will automatically be cancelled by our customer support team. You will not incur any charges.
In order to continue using VerticalCloud Online Property Manager after the 15-day free trial period, you will be asked to subscribe to one of our monthly subscription plans. You have the option of paying monthly, or receiving a discount by paying for a full year of service.
Monthly Billing , Cancellation, and Refund Policies
VerticalCloud charges and collects in advance for use of the software service. Once a customer selects a subscription plan and provides billing credentials during or after the 15-day free trial, VerticalCloud will calculate a pro-rated amount with the first payment being due on the 15th of the month. For example, if your 15-day free trial expired on the 15th and you decided to sign up for a subscription plan to VerticalCloud, we would bill you for 1 full month of service that day (the 15th). Our billing cycle runs on the 15th of every month thereafter until cancelled. VerticalCloud will automatically renew the customer’s monthly or yearly subscription and charge the customer’s credit card every month or year, depending on their subscription type. There are no refunds or credits for partial months or years or service.
Your chosen subscription plan renews itself automatically every month on the 15th until it is officially cancelled. You can cancel anytime by emailing cancellations@verticalcloud.com or by following these steps:
- After logging into VerticalCloud, click your name in the upper-right hand corner of the screen.
- Select "Billing Plan" under "My Account"
- On the right side of the screen, you will see the current subscription plan that you are signed up for – simply click the "Cancel Subscription" link and confirm.
- You will receive a confirmation email from VerticalCloud indicating that your subscription to our service has indeed been cancelled.
Important: No refunds or credits for partial months or years of service will be provided back to you upon cancellation.
All services rendered are non-refundable. All fees are exclusive of all taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities, and the customer is responsible for payments of all such taxes, levies, or duties. The fees that VerticalCloud charges for the monthly or yearly software services exclude taxes, phone, and internet access charges, as well as other data transmission charges. Any currency exchange settlements are based on your agreement with your payment method provider. To be clear: these taxes and charges are your responsibility.
To sign up for a monthly or yearly subscription plan to VerticalCloud, the customer must provide VerticalCloud with a valid credit card as a condition to subscribing to the software service. Even if the customer intends on paying every month with eCheck (ACH) or sending check payment to our headquarters in Columbus, OH – we require a valid credit card as a condition of subscribing to VerticalCloud in order to ensure all expenses accrued as a result of the many pay-per-use features offered within VerticalCloud can and will be paid for at the time of use. Furthermore, VerticalCloud reserves the right to change or modify its fee structure and introduce new charges with at least 15 days prior notice to the customer.
Customer has the ability to upgrade or downgrade their subscription plan at any time for monthly subscriptions only. The upgrade or downgrade will take effect on the next billing cycle (15th of every month). The chosen method of billing will automatically be charged the new subscription rate on the next billing cycle. With regards to downgrades on a monthly subscription, VerticalCloud does not issue refunds or credits for partial months of software service. To be clear: the expiration and renewal dates of service – either monthly or annual – do not change.
Effective as of October 25, 2011
